Born in 1931, Vichy Laboratoires was founded by Dr. Haller, in the eponymous thermal city of Vichy. ​ ​ 

After experiencing the dermatological benefits of Vichy Water (supercharged with 15 minerals with proven efficacy across 16 scientific studies), the French doctor was the first to use thermal water in cosmetology, creating the first brand of cosmetics segmented by skin type: Vichy Laboratoires. ​ ​
